Black Cloud- A Poem About Mental Health

She screamed

in her unnatural state

A danger to herself.

She bottled it up,

Didn't tell.

Just put it on a shelf.

People noticed

But didn’t care

“She’s just a little down”

They all ignored

The obvious flaw.

That was more than just a frown

One late night

She lay awake

Her thoughts pounding her skull

The bottles came crashing

A tsunami of waves

Her mind started to dull.

She was lost

In this web

Hanging on

to the last thread

She lost her grip

Cried out loud

She was swallowed

By the black cloud.
