On this day, we pay tribute to the departed,
To those who fought Wars they never started.
Those brave soldiers who's lives were lost,
The ones who ensured our safety and payed the cost.
We honour each and every person who had a part to play,
In the tales of our countries history, in our ancestors' day-to-day.
We take this time to reflect and recognize those who took on the burden and the sorrow,
To remember those who gave up their today, for our tomorrow.
They fought for the lifestyle we live today, they fought for the Crown,
For the right to freedom, to each generation they passed it down.
The blood, sweat and tears may have been washed away,
But lest we forget their sacrifice, not tomorrow, and certainly not today.
